The Community Boating and Sailing School Insurance Program

Starkweather & Shepley offers a specialty insurance program to members of the Community Boating and Sailing School. Designed for organizations dedicated to sailing education, we offer this program that provides policyholders access to low group rates on liability, hull, and instructor coverage across the country.

Coverage Features:

  • All coverages with a single carrier for "One-stop Shopping"
  • $1,000,000 per occurrence general liability limit with no aggregate
  • Liability provides 3rd party coverage for both shore-side & waterborne activities
  • 50 mile navigation limit automatically provided but can be expanded, upon request
  • Hull insurance is optional, but it is not necessary in order to get liability protection
  • Pollution liability included

  • Racing Liability
  • Borrowed Boats
  • Hull & Machinery
  • Slip & Mooring Rentals
  • Directors & Officers Liability
  • Boat Rental and Chartering Liability
  • Excess Liability – $10 mm Max
  • Hired & Non-Owned Automobile

Program Notes:

  • Customers must sign a liability release
  • Watercraft must meet US Coast Guard safety requirements
  • Boat Rental Warranty must be signed
  • Favorable claims experience necessary
  • Hull coverage on Vessels over 10 yrs old or +$100,000 - subject to survey
